For Coverpla, CSR is a powerful lever for innovation and competitiveness. It fosters a shared reflection on the role of the company in society, on the value of work, the sharing of responsibilities, and a vision for tomorrow. Coverpla has built a CSR report as a guiding thread comprising an assessment of the current situation and an action programme. Its main objective is the company’s carbon neutrality by 2025.

The company’s carbon footprint, established on the basis of the three scopes, reveals two optimisation areas: glass manufacturing and international freight. This awareness may generate an environmental offset principle.
Eco-design
The carbon neutrality objective engages the entire product development chain. Each area becomes a source of optimisation, from sourcing to energy management (water savings, green energy, lightingโฆ), through industrial tool performance (machine insulation and acquisition of new models)โฆ Process optimisation serves material management: reduction of waste and recycling of post-production surlyn (16%). Surlyn being the only material sourced from across the Atlantic.
For several years, Coverpla has been anticipating brand demands. Its approach revolves around 4 “R”s: Recycled, Recyclable, Refillable and Reasonable. To date, the Coverpla catalog offers 16 eco-designed bottles and 6 eco-designed caps.
Some bottles include a share of PCR, others are lightweighted. The most sought-after feature by brands is refillability. To that end, Coverpla multiplies references fitted with screw necks (CV15), compatible with all caps in the catalogue. The caps are injected at the Nice facility (recycled surlyn, 100% biodegradable bio-based PHA) or selected from partners for their innovation: wood pieces without inserts or fitted with cork inserts, aluminium pieces without insertsโฆ

Short supply chains and guaranteed quality: Coverpla makes short circuits a quality guarantee. The company embraces proximity across its entire supply chain. Its sourcing perimeter and partner network do not extend beyond European borders (97%). This positioning promotes a quality image increasingly valued by brands, and represents a strong asset internationally. The premium quality of components selected from several historically recognised manufacturers is complemented by supply security and the stock that Coverpla plans to expand.
Furthermore, the company has been ISO 9001 certified since 2002. Employee safety and wellbeing are also key concerns within the company (product handling, workshop comfort, noise management, sport and wellbeing, quality of life at work, respect for the natural environmentโฆ). This is complemented by Coverpla’s integration into the regional and national sporting, cultural, economic and social fabric, as evidenced by numerous sponsorship and patronage initiatives.
